MISCHA JAKUPCAK is a filmmaker, artist and writer. She champions original and authentic stories in film, television, and virtual reality. Born and raised in Missoula, she holds a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Arizona in Creative Writing and Philosophy and an MA in Filmmaking from the London Film School. She produced East of the Mountains and Potato Dreams of America and wrote and directed the short films The Hero Pose, Kill Cash Cow Kill, Eating Ugly Children and Slow Moving Houses. Passionate about writing, directing and producing, Mischa has worked on over thirty feature films, nine VR pieces as well as actively engaging communities to encourage creative activism through the arts and technology. Her directing and producing work has screened at Sundance, SXSW, the Cartoon Network/Adult Swim, TIFF, TIFF kids, Festival du Cinéma Américain de Deauville, SIFF, and AFI.
